Sergeant Scoggins is a law enforcement officer of 11 years with six years of investigative experience. He spent four years with the Special Victim’s Unit and two years with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit. His primary focus during his time as an investigator was Human Trafficking. He spent years developing knowledge and strategies for combating trafficking by identifying and connecting with victims of trafficking. This experience has provided insight into Trafficking tactics including coercion, manipulation, isolation, and victim targeting, all of which allow traffickers to entrap victims. The greatest part of this journey will always be providing survivors with an avenue of escape from an otherwise endless cycle of abuse.
